Create a Construction Quote PDF in English or Spanish
A useful construction quote explains what the customer is buying and how the total was calculated. Start with the agreed work, list quantities with their units, then add the prices you actually intend to charge. Escuadra connects material calculations with PDF quotes in English or Spanish.
Define the work before adding prices
Write down the work included, the surfaces or dimensions being estimated and the important exclusions. Confirm whether the customer expects supply only, installation or both. A number such as “16 sheets” is not enough to explain demolition, disposal, preparation or finishing.
Keep any separate scope notes or commercial terms with the quote when discussing the job. This guide does not claim that Escuadra automatically supplies contract clauses, payment schedules or every field your business may need.
Match each quantity to its unit price
Use a separate line for each material or service you want the customer to understand. A price per bag must be paired with bags; a price per sheet must be paired with sheets. Do not multiply cubic yards by a per-bag price.
| Line | Quantity | Unit price | Amount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Drywall sheets | 16 | $15.00 | $240.00 |
| Accessory lot | 1 | $60.00 | $60.00 |
| Labor | 1 job | $450.00 | $450.00 |
The illustrative materials total is $300.00 and the combined subtotal is $750.00, before any applicable tax. These invented example prices demonstrate arithmetic; replace them with your own current figures. An accessory lot should be explained in your actual scope.
Check allowances and tax inputs
If your material calculation already includes waste, carry that quantity forward without applying the same allowance again. When you change a quantity, recheck its price and the overall total rather than only the edited line.
Tax treatment depends on the job and jurisdiction. Confirm the appropriate rate and taxable base for your situation; this guide does not assume that every line is taxable. Review the app’s resulting tax amount before sending the document.
Move from the calculation to the PDF in Escuadra
- Choose the job calculator and enter the measurements.
- Review the quantity, unit and any waste setting.
- Use “+ Quote” to send the result into the quote.
- Enter your material prices and labor, and review tax and total.
- Add your business details and logo, then create the PDF in English or Spanish.
Escuadra remembers entered material prices for later quotes. That saves re-entry, but a remembered price is not a live supplier price: update it when your costs change. All calculators are free; sending the PDF takes Escuadra Pro.
Choose the customer’s language and review the file
The PDF language can differ from the app language. A crew can work in Spanish and send an English quote, or choose Spanish for a Spanish-speaking customer. Check the resulting PDF rather than assuming every name or free-text entry was translated.
Before sharing, confirm the customer, material quantities, currency amounts, business contact details and logo. Escuadra can share the PDF through apps such as email or messaging. Preparing calculations and PDFs works offline; sending through an internet service needs a connection.
Keep track of revisions
Quote history lets you return to a quote, edit it or duplicate it for another job. Before resending, make sure the customer receives the intended version and can distinguish it from an earlier estimate. Stored quantities and prices still need a fresh review when the scope changes.
A clear PDF supports the conversation with the customer. It does not replace whatever approvals or separate agreements your particular job requires.

Questions about this estimate
Can the app be in Spanish and the PDF in English?
Yes. Escuadra supports creating the PDF in either English or Spanish independently of the app language.
Are PDF quotes included in the free version?
Sending estimates, invoices and receipts as PDF takes Escuadra Pro, a subscription (yearly with a 3-day free trial, or weekly). All calculators are free, and you can preview the PDF with a watermark for free.
