EscuadraTerms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Escuadra app for iPhone and Android, independently developed by dacan (“we”). On iPhone they supplement Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; on Android, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. By using Escuadra, you agree to these terms and to those of your store.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Escuadra on your devices, including for your work or business. You may not copy, resell, decompile or redistribute the app.
2. Calculations and estimates
- Results use common industry formulas and yields and manufacturer data (for example, concrete or mortar bag yields), plus the waste you choose. Real jobs can vary with site conditions, cuts, technique, product and measuring.
- Code alerts (for example, IRC stair dimensions) are for information only. They don’t guarantee that your work meets your local code.
- You are responsible for checking measurements, the quantities you order and the decisions you make based on the app.
3. Quotes
You set the prices, taxes, notes and contents of each quote, and you’re responsible for it toward your client, including complying with the laws, licenses and taxes that apply to your work. Escuadra only helps you build it and create the PDF.
4. Free version and Escuadra Pro
- The free version includes all job calculators and building estimates and invoices.
- Escuadra Pro is an auto-renewable subscription (yearly or weekly) that lets you send estimates, invoices and receipts as PDF. New subscribers to the yearly plan may get a free trial; the price and trial length are shown in the app before you buy.
- iPhone: payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase or, with a free trial, when the trial ends. The subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it in iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
- Android: payment is charged to your Google Play account when you confirm the purchase or, with a free trial, when the trial ends. The subscription renews automatically at the same price and period until you cancel it. Cancel any time before the renewal date in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
- If you bought the earlier one-time purchase of Escuadra Pro, you keep it.
- Apple or Google processes the payment. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or by Google Play under its refund policy.
- If you switch phones, use “Restore purchases” with the same Apple Account or Google account. A subscription bought on iPhone doesn’t carry over to Android, or the other way around.
- We may add, change or remove features through updates.
5. Requests
If you send us ideas or requests, we may use them to improve Escuadra with no obligation to build them or to pay you for them. Don’t send confidential information or your clients’ data.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t use Escuadra for illegal activities, to mislead clients, or to try to harm the app or our services (for example, by spamming the request form).
7. Ownership
The app, its design, text and the Escuadra brand belong to us. Your data and your quotes belong to you.
8. No warranties
Escuadra is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent allowed by law, we don’t guarantee that it’s error-free or that results are exact for your job.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or for losses from too much or too little material, delays, quotes or job decisions made based on the app. Our total liability will not exceed what you paid for Escuadra in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows when. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new version.
