Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 1, 2026
This policy explains what information the Escuadra app for iPhone and Android (app ID com.dacan.escuadra), independently developed by dacan (“we”), uses, what leaves your phone, and the control you have. By using Escuadra you agree to what’s described here. It also covers the escuadra.pro website (section 7).
- No account and no password.
- Your calculations, quotes, clients, prices and business details are stored only on your phone.
- The app shows no ads and doesn’t sell information. To measure which of our ads brought you, it uses Meta’s SDK, Apple’s attribution on iPhone and Google Analytics for Firebase on Android; on iPhone, iOS asks you before any tracking (section 5).
- What leaves your phone: what you send in Requests, the text of lines and notes that get translated automatically, anonymous usage statistics (section 4), and the ad-measurement data in section 5.
- On the website, the Spanish pages (escuadra.pro/es/) use the Meta Pixel to measure campaigns. See section 7.
1. Information that stays on your phone
Escuadra stores, in the app’s own storage on your phone:
- Measurements and calculation results.
- Your quotes and quote history: your clients’ name, address and contact, materials, quantities, prices, tax and notes.
- The prices the app learns for your next quotes.
- The business details shown on the PDF (name, phone, email, address, license) and your logo.
- Your language and preferences.
This information does not leave your phone: we have no access to it and can’t see or recover it. It’s deleted if you uninstall the app. If iCloud Backup (iPhone) or Google backup (Android) is on, Apple or Google may include it in your phone’s backup under their own policy.
2. PDFs you share
Each quote PDF is created on your phone. When you tap share, your phone opens its share menu and you choose where it goes (WhatsApp, Mail, Messages, Files…). The app you pick handles the file under its own policy. We don’t receive a copy.
3. Photos
Only if you choose to add a logo, Escuadra opens your phone’s photo picker. The image you pick is copied inside the app to put it on your PDFs. We have no access to the rest of your library.
4. Information we do receive
Requests (optional). If you use “Request a feature or report a problem”, the following is sent to our database on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore):
- The type (new calculation, improvement or something wrong) and the message you write.
- The contact you choose to leave (email or WhatsApp), only if you type it.
- The app version, the app language, whether it’s an iPhone or Android, and the date.
We use it to read your request, improve Escuadra and, if you left a contact, let you know. Please don’t include your clients’ information in a request.
Purchases. If you buy Escuadra Pro, Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) processes the payment; we never see your card. To verify the purchase we use RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app identifier and the purchase status, not your payment details.
Automatic translation. When you write your own line or notes in one language and leave the other empty, or send a PDF in the other language, the app sends only that text (for example “Remove old tile” or “50% deposit”) over HTTPS to our server at escuadra.pro, which translates it with Anthropic’s Claude model and sends it back. We don’t store those texts or link them to you; the server only keeps anonymous request counters to prevent abuse. Your client’s name, address and contact, your prices and your business details are never sent. Without internet nothing is sent and the line stays as you wrote it. Don’t put personal information in a line you want translated.
Anonymous usage statistics. To know which parts of the app help and where people get stuck, the app sends to our server at escuadra.pro which steps you go through: for example that you opened the app, saw each welcome screen, opened a calculator or a quote, viewed the watermarked sample, tried to send or sent a PDF, saw the Escuadra Pro screen, started a trial or purchase (plan only), and on iPhone your answer to the tracking prompt. Each step goes with a random ID that the app creates (it isn’t your device’s ID, your advertising ID, your name or your contact), whether it’s an iPhone or Android, the app version, the app language and the time. We never send your quotes, clients, prices, texts or business details. The server stores these steps for up to 24 months to count how many people reach each step; it doesn’t store your IP address. On Android the same steps also go to Google Analytics for Firebase (section 5). Without internet they wait on your phone and are sent later.
5. Ad measurement, and what the app doesn’t do
We advertise Escuadra on Facebook, Instagram, the App Store and Google. To know which ads bring people who install and subscribe:
- Meta SDK: the app uses the SDK of Meta Platforms to tell Meta that the app was installed or opened and that you finished the welcome screens, with device information (model, system version, language, time zone) and an anonymous Meta ID.
- RevenueCat: when you start a free trial or pay, RevenueCat reports that event (plan and price, with that anonymous ID) to Meta, Apple Ads (iPhone) and Google Analytics for Firebase (Android) so we can see which campaign it came from.
- Apple’s permission (App Tracking Transparency): after the welcome screens, iOS asks whether you allow tracking. Only if you say yes is your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) included. If you say no, Meta and Apple only give us aggregated results. You can change it any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Apple Ads: Apple tells RevenueCat which Apple Ads campaign led to the download, without identifying you.
- Android: there is no tracking prompt. Meta, Google and RevenueCat may receive your device’s advertising ID (Google’s). You can reset or delete it any time in Settings → Privacy → Ads (on some phones, Settings → Google → Ads).
- Google Ads (Android): the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to tell Google that the app was installed or opened, that you finished the welcome screens, the usage steps in section 4, and when you start a trial or pay, with an app instance ID, device information and the advertising ID, so we can see which Google campaign it came from. Google Play also reports downloads and purchases to our Google Ads account.
The app does not: show ads; send your quotes, clients, prices or business details to Meta or anyone else; sell your information; or require sign-up, email or phone.
6. Who it’s shared with
Only the providers needed for Escuadra to work and to measure our ads: Google Firebase (to receive requests and, on Android, to measure Google Ads), Anthropic (automatic translation; only the text being translated), RevenueCat, Apple and Google (purchases and ad attribution) and Meta (ad measurement, section 5). None of them receive your quotes or your clients’ data. On the website, the Spanish pages share browsing data with Meta (section 7).
7. Website (escuadra.pro)
The website uses no analytics. The Spanish pages (escuadra.pro/es/: calculators, guides, templates and our ad landing page) use the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms. The English pages don’t.
- What Meta receives: which page you opened, whether you tapped a button to get the app or a PDF template, whether you used a calculator or the search box, your IP address, browser and device details, and its cookies (
_fbp, and_fbcif you came from an ad). - Why: to measure which ads work and to show our ads to people the app may help. We don’t receive your name or contact details; Meta gives us aggregate numbers.
- Meta’s policy: Meta handles that information under its own policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy.
- How to avoid it: if your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, the pages don’t load the pixel. You can also block third-party cookies or change your ad preferences on Facebook and Instagram.
- App Store: the buttons on that page carry an Apple campaign code. Apple only shows us total downloads and purchases per campaign, not who you are.
8. How long we keep requests and statistics
Requests and usage statistics: up to 24 months, then they’re deleted. You can ask us to delete your requests sooner (see section 10).
9. Security
Requests travel encrypted (HTTPS). Our Firebase rules only allow creating requests: nobody can read, change or delete them from the app.
10. Your rights
You can ask to see or delete a request you sent by emailing support@escuadra.pro with the text or contact you used, so we can find it. California residents: we don’t sell personal information. The ad measurement in the app (section 5) and the Meta Pixel on the website’s Spanish pages (section 7) may count as “sharing” for advertising under the CCPA/CPRA. To limit it in the app, deny tracking on iPhone (Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking) or delete your advertising ID on Android (Settings → Privacy → Ads); on the website, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser and the pages won’t load the pixel. You can also email us to opt out.
11. Children
Escuadra is a work tool and is not directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above. If the change is significant, we’ll let you know in the app.
